One Patient's Experience
Ms. M, a patient of our clinic since 2016
Ms. M and her husband had been trying to conceive for about 18 months to two years without success, and testing indicated that her ovarian function had declined.
In August 2016, after her mother-in-law saw the clinic's information in a newspaper and suggested trying Chinese medicine, she came in for a consultation. Nikki Zhang, LAc, treated her with scalp and body acupuncture and moxibustion, along with Chinese herbal medicine. After about two to three months, at an appointment with her fertility specialist, she was told her chance of pregnancy was very small; an ultrasound at that visit then showed that she was pregnant.
About two years later she returned to the clinic. Zhang continued with acupuncture and herbal care based on her condition at the time, and a little over three months later she became pregnant again, at age 42. She has since recommended the clinic to friends and family who hope to have children.

"He said, 'Let's check,' and did an ultrasound. Suddenly he said, 'Congratulations.' I asked, 'Congratulations on what?' He said, 'Congratulations, you're pregnant.' I said, 'Hold on, you just told me I wouldn't have a very good chance.' He said he was sure he could see a sac, and he turned the screen toward me. I told him I had been going to Zhang's clinic, and he asked me to come back the next week. When I came back, he checked again, and I really was pregnant. I started crying."
